It's been a year since I drew, I mean Iccia and Jakis went trick or treating in their old outfits: www.furaffinity.net/view/18121… and they have subsequently upgraded their costumes! This year they've gone for a strong Roman theme to things. Iccia, true to her name, has dressed as an Emperor or Empress of Rome would and Jakis has dressed as her loyal Praetorian Guard! They took this selfie before hitting the streets of the Citadel to join the halloween merriment.
I am so damn happy with how this turned out! To see something big and detailed finished is a morale boost to say the least, even more so that I got it done for the day itself even if it's late here. I love how Jakis' armour came out, it looks metallic. And the red of Iccia's cloak is lovely.
I tried to get a mirror effect as if this was a selfie, I hope I have. I was pressured for time since i've just finished it.
Also might as well say a bit on why I chose these outfits. Firstly because Roman stuff is awesome, secondly their names. Octavius, Iccia's last name is the real name of Emperor Augustus of Rome, born Gaius Octavius. A fact I found out after naming her. Jakis' last name Vorenus is a nod to Lucius Vorenus, a soldier from the Legio XI Claudia (Claudius' Ninth Legion) and mentioned in the writings of Julius Caeser himself!
